I’m pretty much wearing a rut into this route around this mostly north of Bellingham loop. This time riding from my house, rather than downtown Ferndale or somewhere else along the route, today’s ride was a somewhat longer ride at about 50 miles. Over last summer, and even a bit through winter, this loop became one of my goto loops. I can ride it from my house or it’s almost as easy doing from the Haggen parking lot. It’s basically a loop through Ferndale via Smith & Noon roads and then hitting as many trails/paths as I can link together to bring me back to Ferndale. I’ve done this loop, my Nooksack Loop, again and again and again, each time refining it just a bit. And the refinements keep getting smaller and smaller as there really isn’t much in the way of new trails or roads happening along this route.
